Repairing exterior cladding

Exterior cladding on southern wall has gone in terrible shape:

The wind and snow hits straight on to it.

Not to mention the sun.

Closer look tells the whole truth:

So we headed to buy supplies.

boards and paint:

We bought boards from Puumesta,

where is also possible to loan trailer for free.

Whole lot easier than empty own :-D.

My role was just hang around

and admire the solution of warning tape

(which we didn't had):

Paint we got from RTV-yhtymä,

where was going on funny campaign:

each paint can you bought,

you get two glasses:

We bought 2 cans,

so my daughter got four new glasses.

My hubby cut boards:

He made bevel to the lower edge:

Those were done,

so raining water wouldn't harm so badly in future.

Wall was ripped in parts, 

just in case of rain:

There wasn't any unpleasant surprises.

Were glad of that!

And new boards was added right away:

Then he painted it:

And let it dry,

before next layer.

It finally stayed unfinished over two weeks,

because of rain:

But now it is finished and next project can be start.

New drain:

He said, it can be done in fall...
