Midsummer at the garden

We are spending Midsummer weekend at home.
No festival, no summer cottage, no camping area.
Just home.
And garden.
There is so much blooming at this time of year
- and when nighsts are light,
it can be seen almost all night long.
Like columbines...

and Rhododendrons...

Spotted hawkweeds,
which sleeps in nights...
Lady' s mantles with bright yellow-green inflorescences...
Daisies...
Cow parsley...
woodland geranium...
After the dew has landed,
they spread their scents allover.
Dame's violets...
Lilacs...

Lupines...
Scotch roses...
and early peonies...
I cut some of them to bring their beauty and smell inside, too.
Our youngest will turn 27 tomorrow.
Howcome my children are so old?
